This is an online browser-based utility for generating a list of numbers in geometric progression. A geometric progression is a sequence of numbers (also called terms or members) where the ratio of two subsequent elements of the sequence is a constant value. This constant is called the common ratio and it can be a positive or a negative integer or a fraction. You can set the first term of the series, the ratio, and the number of elements to calculate. You can also customize the output progression by adding any character between terms of the sequence. That's numberwang!

Doubling Geometric Sequence
This geometric progression has a common ratio equal to 2. The first term equal 1 and each next is found by multiplying the previous term by 2. As a result, we get a geometric sequence of powers of two, consisting of 20 elements separated by a semicolon.

Alternating Geometric Series
In this example, the ratio is equal to -1. Therefore, we obtain an alternating number series where all the numbers are equal in absolute value and only the sign changes for every term. Here we generate a list of first 10 members of this series and separate them with a comma.

Fractional Common Ratio
Here we calculate a decaying geometric sequence with the ratio of 0.5 between each sequence member. We start the progression from a value of one million, and every following value is reduced by half. As you can see, the geometric progression decreases exponentially and the 21st term is already less than one.
