Transpose matrix finder tool What is a transpose matrix finder?
This is an online browser-based utility for finding the transpose of a matrix. Transposing a matrix means to exchange its rows with columns and columns with rows. Another way to do it is to simply flip all elements over its diagonal. For example, given an element a_ij, where i is the row and j is the column, it becomes a_ji. In this tool, you can enter the matrix in any format by specifying in the options, which characters separate numbers in columns and rows. You can also change the delimiter characters for the output transposed matrix. And as a bonus, you can align all numbers of the output matrix into neat columns by enabling beautify matrix option. That's numberwang!

Find Transpose of a Square Matrix
In this example, we find the transpose of a square matrix with dimensions 3x3. Here you can clearly see how the numbers that were placed horizontally turned into vertical columns.

Find Transpose of a Rectangular Matrix
In this example, we transpose a rectangular matrix. The input matrix has 3 rows and 8 columns (dimensions 3x8), and as a result of changing rows to columns, we get a matrix of size 8 by 3 (dimensions 8x3). We also align all numbers in columns and separate them with a comma symbol.

Find Transpose of a Row Matrix
In this example, we transpose a row matrix. A row matrix can also be called a vector. By transposing a vector, it rotates from a horizontal position to a vertical position. Also, note that this tool is able to transpose a parameterized matrix (in our example "a" and "b" are variables and not concrete numbers.)
